The Challenge
Reporters spent hours a day reading California environmental filings. Earlier AI tools invented projects that did not exist.
What We Built
- Scans California's official filings and city agendas every night. Every lead starts from a real public record.
- Reads each project's PDFs, including scanned pages, and pulls satellite images of the site.
- Finds the owner and architect, checks their contact details and cites the source of every fact.
- A 10-point quality gate holds back any lead it cannot prove is real, current and reachable.
- Cost controls cap AI spend per lead and pause any source that costs too much.
The Outcome
Reporters now review finished leads instead of researching them, and approve 10+ a day.
